Report: Nuggets have top four coaching candidates

According to The Denver Post’s Christopher Dempsey the Denver Nuggets likely have their top four head coaching candidates whittled down to Melvin Hunt, Scott Brooks, Mike D’Antoni and Alvin Gentry. In a piece published on Sunday, Dempsey analyzes the aforementioned candidates while hammering home the fact that each is well known for running a fast-paced offense.

Last week Dempsey reported the Nuggets had revved up their search for a new head coach and it appears that process could be on the verge of reaching a fever pitch. Prior to the team’s organized head-coaching search Nuggets GM Tim Connelly had penned the NBA Draft Lottery as a milestone to introduce a new head coach. With the lottery only eight days away it seems likely the Nuggets are beginning to zero in on their preferred candidate.
