Before the Denver Broncos took on the New England Patriots, DeMarcus Ware delivered a speech that teammates called one the best they’ve ever heard. It was the type of speech that can bring greatness out.
So how do you follow something like that up? We asked DeMarcus that question at Monday’s Media Night at the SAP Center in San Jose, California.
“Sometimes you just have to let your emotions flow and sometimes words don’t need to be said,” Ware explained. “Words about how much hard work you put in for the season and how much the guys really want not just to be here — because they’ve been here before — but to win. There are a lot of winners on this team, guys that are competitors and want to get to that pinnacle level and get to the Super Bowl. Sometime’s there are not words that need to be said.”
What needed to be said has been said, there is no message that can prepare the team for what they will face on Sunday, they don’t need to be inspired. Aqib Talib put it best.
“Man, if you ain’t got enough fuel for this fire right now, you’re in the wrong business, man.”
