Today on the 850 KOA broadcast of the Colorado Rockies spring training game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team officially announced the diagnoses on ailing outfielder, David Dahl.

Dahl, who has missed most of spring training, has a stress reaction. in his sixth rib, according to the club. There has been no updated timetable meaning that the most recent information we have still says he could return to action before the start of the regular season.

In his stead, both Gerardo Parra and Raimel Tapia have been playing extensively. Parra, who was always naturally slated to rebound, has shown well, hitting .400 with a double and a home run as of the posting of this article.

Tapia could prove to be ready, but Dahl might not be out long enough for it to make sense jerking him around between Triple-A and MLB so early in the year.

Jordan Patterson, who is having as good a spring as anyone in camp, could also make his way into this conversation.
