Broncos stand-out safety David Bruton has been placed on injured reserve after fracturing his leg in Sunday’s match-up against the Steelers. Bruton played over 70 plays with the fracture. “I thought it was a bruise,” Bruton told the media. “There was a sharp pain initially and it just got worse and worse throughout the game.”
The Broncos signed safety Shaun Prater to fill that spot on the roster. Prater (5-10, 190 pounds) was drafted by the Bengals in 2012 and has since had stints with the Vikings, the Colts, and the Eagles in 2013 where he started three games.
The Broncos also worked out eight players on Tuesday, including former Bengals defensive lineman Devon Still, who made headlines after America witnessed his daughter Leah, fighting and eventually beating cancer, over the last few seasons.
The Broncos also worked out defensive linemen Phil Taylor and DeAngelo Tyson, defensive back Chimdi Chekwa, and linebackers Thomas Keiser, Jonathan Massaquoi and Dekoda Watson.
