While Darrell Arthur was able to get through portions of practice Friday, he says he will not play Saturday in the Nuggets’ home opener against the Portland Trailblazers.

“I felt really good, the best I’ve felt since I came back,” Arthur told BSN Denver at practice today. “I think the plan is to play [Monday], the Toronto game. I think I need another practice in me to get the rust off.”

After a knee scope a few weeks before training camp which held him out of the entire preseason, Arthur experienced swelling in his knee which has delayed his comeback. He told BSN Denver that his knee swelled a little today and he’s targeting Monday, when the Nuggets visit Toronto as a return date.

Gary Harris also participated in parts of practice today and did have his groin, which he partially tore in Denver’s first preseason game, heavily wrapped.

Harris participated in five-on-five drills with contact Tuesday and also went through shootaround Wednesday morning before the Nuggets opened the season in New Orleans. He’s officially listed as questionable for tomorrow’s home opener and the Nuggets will re-evaluate him at shootaround.
