BOULDER – The Colorado Buffaloes football program will play host to Arizona State at Folsom Field on Saturday. The school’s annual Homecoming Game is slated to kick off at 6 p.m. But before that Tad Boyle and the basketball program will play host to the fans.

On Tuesday Boyle announced that the men’s basketball team will hold a practice and intra-squad scrimmage at 2 p.m., which will be open to the public.

Important takeaways from the press release:

“This Saturday, Oct. 15, University of Colorado fans have a chance to add a little basketball to their usual football tailgating party.

The main entrance to the Coors Events Center, at concourse level on the northwest side, will open at 2 p.m. The Buffaloes are scheduled to work on normal practice drills for the first 45 minutes and then scrimmage with officials at 2:45 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend the practice with open seating in the arena. All normal football game day parking rules will apply. Lots will open at 12 p.m. on Saturday.”

The Buffs are coming off a 22-12 season which was good for a fifth-place finish in the Pac-12 Conference. CU continued their postseason streak under Boyle, making it all six of his season, they’ve made the NCAA Tournament four times.

The program has lost a few key players like Josh Scott, Xavier Talton and Tre’Shaun Fletcher from their roster but expectations are exceedingly high for this season. Transfer Derrick White leads a group of four fifth-year seniors. White is also a newcomer joining a healthy freshman class that Boyle brought to Boulder.
