Just when it felt like the momentum the Buffs had built with the Florida kids had started to go quiet, Colorado kept the train going on Wednesday afternoon, when they picked up a somewhat surprising commitment from Atlanta (GA) cornerback, Ronnie Blackmon.
I am proud to say that I'm officially committed to play my college football for the Colorado Buffalos #pac12 pic.twitter.com/0IHlkWRn87

I say it comes as a surprise, because Blackmon has not yet visited Boulder, nor has he even mentioned the school in any of his interviews on Rivals.com. That being said, the Buffs will take the commitment from the three-star player, ranked as the 49th best corner in the nation by Rivals.
Blackmon is the Buffs second pickup from the state of Georgia this class, joining receiver Derrion Rakestraw. The 5-foot-10, 174 pounder also held offers from Arizona, Boston College, West Virginia, Iowa, Georgia Tech, and many more. The Buffs will hope to keep the hot streak in the South going as they pursue the commitments of Florida prospects, Craig Watts, Anthony Julmisse, and Johnny Huntley.
Notable: Blackmon’s high school, Westlake in Atlanta, has produced the likes of Cam Newton and Pacman Jones, probably not a bad place to start a pipeline.
