Jake Moretti, a four-star offensive tackle, has given his word that he’ll play for the Colorado Buffaloes. Once slated to play football for the Ohio State University, now he has chosen to stay in-state as he currently attends Pomona High School in Arvada.

The 6-foot-5, 285-pound lineman is ranked as the No. 78 prospect for the Class of 2017 in the nation and the No. 2 prospect in the state of Colorado according to 24-7 Sports. He was invited to play in the Army All-American game, but is currently sitting out his senior season with a torn ACL.

Moretti was recruited by offensive line coach Klayton Adams and co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini. He also holds offers from Notre Dame, Michigan, Oregon, California, USC, UCLA, Nebraska, and CSU among others.

It’s hard to understate the importance of flipping a player of this caliber back to his home state. This is truly a huge grab for the Colorado coaching staff and displays long-lasting effects of The Rise.
