The Colorado Buffaloes are on a tear this past week, adding four players, all three-stars in the past eight days. This time they went to Texas (again) and got a playmaker (again). 6-0, 180-pound all-purpose running back Deion Smith from Second Baptist High School in Houston, Texas has given the Buffs his word.

Some rank Smith as a top-ten running back in the state of Texas for the class of 2018 and by looking at his stats that makes sense. Playing in 11 games he carried the ball 122 times for 1,223 yards, which averages to 10 yards an attempt. He added on 19 touchdowns rushing in addition to five receiving where he caught 22 passes for 494 yards.
Smith had offers from Boise State, Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Notre Dame, UCLA, Utah, Vanderbilt and plenty more.
Smith becomes player No. 11 in the Class of 2018, which is yet to see anything aside from a three-star. He joins Jarek Broussard and Max Borghi at playmaking positions.
