The Colorado Buffaloes continue to stack their defensive arsenal with talent, adding three-star (Rivals) junior college outside linebacker Davion Taylor to their list of 2018 commits. Coahoma Community College first announced Taylor’s commitment to Colorado in April, but it wasn’t until his official visit last week that he confirmed his intent to play for the Buffaloes.

At 6-2, 215-pounds, Taylor boasts a 10.6 second 100-meter dash. This kid is fast. For context, Taylor ran a 4.43 40-yd dash, while Buffs running back Phil Lindsay ran a 4.49. That’s dangerous speed for a linebacker with that size, and you can see it in his tape.

As a freshman in 2016, Taylor racked up 26 total tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack, a fumble recovery and a pass broken up. He should be an immediate contributor once he steps on campus to a Colorado defense that prides itself on being disruptive.

Taylor has three years to play two and will bring his speed as well as athleticism to Colorado, further bolstering their 2018 roster. As the Buffs continue to build their defense of the future, additions like Taylor will help them maintain the defensive dominance they exhibited last season.
