We live in a wondrous age, don’t you think?

In less than 21 months from now, Colorado State University’s new on-campus football stadium will be unveiled as the start of the 2017 season gets underway. And, right now, Ram Nation can find where they’ll be sitting utilizing a new, tremendous technology.

CSU has partnered with Ballena Technologies to bring you a virtual seat and parking selection website, one which debuted on Jan. 1, 2016. The website is live and can be found here and fans are encouraged to become familiar with the site in the 15 months leading up to the time when they can actually select which seats their season tickets will be located.

Season ticket holders can also use the website to take a virtual tour around the new, on-campus stadium. While doing so, take in all the details possible because season ticket holders will not be able to visit their seats in person prior to the stadium completion due to the fact it will be an active construction site through the summer of 2017.

The website will allow Ram fans to see a virtual view of the field from their new seats to give a feel for what it will be like on game days starting in 2017.

How will fans be given priority? It all depends on how many Ram points are accumulated by Dec. 31, 2016. Also, to be considered in the seating selection appointment times, fans must have 2016 season tickets.

The Ram Points system is based on many factors. One of which is Loyalty; 10 points are given per consecutive year of season tickets purchased since 2000 and four points per year are awarded for consecutive years of giving to Ram Club since dating back to 1989. Other factors like CSU Affinity — being an alumnus, etc. — and Financial Support are also considered. Read up on ways to earn Ram Points here.

Questions about any of the information here can be directed to rampoints@colostate.edu or (970) 491-2222.

Also, fans can become a piece of the stadium by purchasing a stadium brick. There are three price levels and choices for those who want to help support the construction of the on-campus stadium. As of today, 1,300 have been purchased and 3,500 is the goal.

Finally, check out the live construction camera on the stadium. There’s a wall started! Exciting indeed.
