Colorado State University and its athletics multimedia rights holder, Learfield’s Ram Sports Properties, have agreed to a three-year partnership with Townsquare Media Northern Colorado (KARS 102.9 FM), to serve as the flagship station for CSU athletics, and provide live broadcast of Rams football, along with both men’s and women’s basketball games the school announced Thursday.

Along with the Fort Collins-based KARS 102.9 will carry weekly live football coach’s shows in the fall and basketball coach’s shows throughout the winter.

Mile High Sports will carry football, men’s basketball and a selection of women’s basketball games for the next three years on 1340 AM.

“We’re excited to be partnering with Townsquare Media Northern Colorado and Mile High Sports to deliver our game broadcasts to our fans along the Front Range and across the state of Colorado,”CSU Athletics Director Joe Parker said in a statement released by the school.

“Quality programming of our athletics events is key to sharing the CSU Athletics experience, and I’m encouraged to have two trusted stations providing our game broadcasts and broadening our engagement.”

Colorado State coverage on stations 102.9 FM and 1340 AM begins with the Green and Gold game on Saturday,  Apr. 23. The annual game will kickoff at 1:00 p.m., and the coverage will include a 15-minute pregame show. Regular season coverage for the Rams Radio Network begins with the Rocky Mountain Showdown, when CSU takes on in-state rival CU on Sept. 2, 2016.

Football broadcasts will include a two-hour pre-game show and a one-hour postgame show, featuring interviews with head coach Mike Bobo and players live from the locker room.

Basketball coverage will include 30-minute pregame and postgame shows with men’s head coach Larry Eustachy and women’s head coach Ryun Williams, along with players from both teams.

All live broadcasts of games and coaches’ shows will be available via livestream on CSURAMS.com. If there are conflicting CSU events, the conflicting event will air on KMAX 94.3 FM.

Townsquare Media Northern Colorado Market President Pat Kelley expressed his excitement for the Rams Radio Network.  “Townsquare Media in Northern Colorado is excited to be teaming up with Rock 102.9 to be the flagship station for Colorado State University Athletics,” said Kelley. “We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial partnership with the good folks at Learfield’s Rams Sports Properties. Go Rams!”

Mile High Sports General Manager Casey Light expressed similar emotions. “CSU football and basketball each has a rich tradition we’re proud to now be a part of as a broadcast partner,” Light said.

Ram fans be sure to tune in on Apr. 23 for the first taste of the exciting new home of Colorado State athletics.
