Satellite camps are popping up everywhere, it seems. And for Colorado State, they’ll logically take place in one with the University of Georgia and Georgia Southern on June 16 at Buford High School.

Mike Bobo, the head coach of Colorado State, is a former Georgia quarterback and then assistant coach. He and current Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart are former teammates and good friends according to the Savannah Morning News. And as far as Georgia Southern is concerned, now head coach Tyson Summers is formerly of the University of Georgia, too, and he was Bobo’s defensive coordinator last year, Bobo’s first in Fort Collins.

“We could work every day somewhere else and never have them at our place, which wouldn’t be very smart, obviously,” Smart said via the Savannah Morning News. “So we’ve got to stay home and go away both, but I do want to be at some of them in Atlanta. I do want to go see young kids that are being developed and I want to help the game of football, too, to bring the game to some of them who can’t come to us.”

This camp will provide valuable opportunities for the coaches to exchange ideas with one another as well as evaluate players.

Players can sign up for the camp for only $25 and a total of six schools attending:

Bobo and his staff were successful in his first season with the Rams, winning a school-record seven regular season games as the head of the green and gold. Bobo’s set the bar high and only looks to improve in his second season in charge of the Rams. Then, in what would be his third year, the new on-campus stadium is set to open.

Colorado State is doing everything in their power to move up to the Power 5, and with the Big-12 looking to expand, they could be called on. For now, they must keep that “never satisfied” mindset and keep winning.
