Colorado State picked up a verbal commitment from Jamari Person this week.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver out of Brownsville, Tennessee posted a pair of graphics announcing his decision on Twitter Friday afternoon.

CSU’s wide receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Chad Savage also posted about Person’s commitment Thursday afternoon, though he did not mention him by name due to NCAA recruiting guidelines.

Person was originally offered by CSU back in October and later posted about receiving more love from the Rams in early November. According to 247Sports, the three-star recruit also has offers from Austin Peay, Eastern Kentucky, Indiana, Marshall and UT Martin.

Person is a semifinalist for for the Class 4A Mr Football award after leading Haywood HS with 57 receptions for for 1,150 yards and 13 touchdowns this fall.

His ability to create yards after the catch can be seen in his senior highlights. You can also see his ability to go up and get the football, which is unsurprising given that he also plays basketball.
