College basketball season ended somewhat unceremoniously this season for Colorado State Rams men’s basketball, losing in the semifinals of the Mountain West Tournament and then declining invites to the CBI and the Vegas 16 tourneys.
So, with Antwan Scott, Tiel Daniels, Fred Richardson III and winningest CSU baller in history Joe DeCiman all leaving the program due to being seniors, the team has three scholarships to fill. Assuming, of course, Gian Clavell is granted his medical redshirt for a fifth season due to injuring his hand and shoulder 10 games into the 2015-16 season.
Back in November, the Rams picked up junior college guard transfer Devocio Butler, who will be able to compete immediately in the 2016-17 season. But, who are they looking for starting next year?
Possibly Dylan Osetkowski, who Jeff Borzello says the team reached out to.
Tulane transfer Dylan Osetkowski has heard from Texas, Nebraska, Mississippi State, Colorado State and others. 6-foot-9, two years left.

Osetkowski started all 33 games for the Tulane Green Wave last season, including recording 11 double-doubles. He’s a 6-foot-8, 245-pound forward who decided to transfer away from Tulane and has been in contact with CSU as well as Texas, Nebraska, Mississippi State as well as “others.”
The sophomore averaged a third-best on the team 11.4 points per game, with a team-leading 8.4 rebounds per. He also enjoyed 52 assists, 40 steals and 18 blocks over the course of the season.
With 6-foot-8 forward Daniels leaving, it opens the door for redshirt sophomore Kimani Jackson (6-foot-9) to see more of the floor immediately. There’s also redshirt freshman Toby Van Ry (6-foot-10) and freshman Nico Carvacho (6-foot-10) on the roster, with those two being more project players, Van Ry rarely seeing the floor last season. Carvacho was seen putting in some offseason work on Moby’s floor Tuesday.
