Colorado State Football Pro Day 2016: 40-yard dash, vertical results

Colorado State Rams Pro Day 2016 was a big day for 12 former players as they look to take the next step and become “Next Level Rams.”

Visiting Fort Collins today were 26 NFL scouts, four NFL coaches and one CFL scout as well as two former Colorado State greats in Joey Porter and Joel Dreessen. Porter was there pulling double duty, scouting for the Pittsburgh Steelers while also running through drills with linebackers Martavius Foster and Cory James.

In all, there were 15 former CSU Rams in attendance, although only 13 of them were able to show off their skills to the scouts and coaches. Two of the young men — Trent Matthews and DeAndre Elliott — sat out due to injury concerns. Matthews is still working his way back from a torn ACL suffered late in the 2015 season while Elliott couldn’t workout due to a hamstring injury. Elliott’s sitting was a disappointment after the superb show he put on during the NFL Scouting Combine.

But, there were plenty more Rams who put their athletic abilities on display Wednesday inside the Indoor Practice Facility on CSU’s campus.

Here’s a look at everyone’s results:

  • Player/40-yard dash time/vertical
  • Sam Carlson/5.32/29.5 inches
  • Kivon Cartwright/4.64 and 4.72/34.5 inches
  • DeAndre Elliott/NA/NA
  • Martavius Foster/4.97 and 4.76/33 inches
  • Jesse Haas/4.84 and 4.71/32 inches
  • Justin Hansen/NA/27.5 inches
  • Joe Hansley/4.59 and 4.57/36.5 inches
  • Rashard Higgins/4.57 and 4.55/32.5 inches/Bench: 13 reps
  • Terry Jackson/5.21/27 inches
  • Cory James/4.65 and 4.57/35 inches
  • Trent Matthews/NA/NA
  • SteveO Michel/4.72 and 4.75/31 inches
  • Jasen Oden/NA/33.5 inches
  • Kevin Pierre-Louis/4.60 and 4.80/35.5 inches/Bench: 14 reps
  • Steven Walker/4.83 and 4.85/32.5 inches
