Colorado Rockies unveil 2017 specialty uniforms

This year will be a little bit different for MLB’s league-wide holiday and specialty date uniforms. Instead of just being for one game, these uniforms will be worn serval times. The holidays that get special uniforms are Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, and the Independence Day. Mother’s and Father’s day will both be worn over the weekend while Memorial Day will get a weekend plus its Monday. Finally Fourth of July will get Saturday-Tuesday as it takes place on the second day of the week this season.

It is of note for the Rockies as they are out on the road before Fourth of July then come home for the holiday, so they will actually have two Fourth of July uniforms, a road, and a home set.

Stance was added to MLB uniforms earlier this year and they really went the full nine yards on these sets, also MLB will use new lightweight martial for the Home Run Derby caps while other caps will see a new heathered pattern.
