The Colorado Rockies have recalled right-handed pitchers Miguel Castro and Jordan Lyles from Triple-A Albuquerque before the club’s weekend series in Pittsburgh. Right-handed pitchers Christian Bergman and Scott Oberg were taken off the 25-man as Bergman was placed on the 15-day DL with an oblique strain and Oberg was optioned.

Castro was just taken off of the DL and optioned to Albuquerque a few days ago after suffering a shoulder injury last month that the Rockies were cautious with. In two outings in Triple-A Castro struggled but he was very good before his minor setback as the 21-year-old rookie struck out eight in six appearances and allowed only a run on two hits.
Lyles looks to replace Bergman as the long man in the Rockies bullpen. The righty who was acquired in the Dexter Fowler trade has struggled mightily in the majors and minors this season. Lyles could soon be replaced as Jorge De La Rosa nears a comeback.
