Denver — The Colorado Rockies have moved left-handed pitcher Jorge De La Rosa back into the rotation, according to a team source. He will start Tuesday against the Yankees and is 2-4 so far this season with an 8.81 ERA but most recently put together five perfect innings out of the bullpen against the Pittsburgh Pirates, giving the Rockies hope that he can return to his old ways.
Right-hander Eddie Butler has been moved to the bullpen in a corresponding move.
Butler last started on Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers, giving up three runs in six innings. Butler has come out of the pen twice around being a starter the rest of the season. Time will tell if the back-and-forth has any negative consequences on the young pitcher.
