Per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, the Colorado Rockies have avoided arbitration with outfielder Charlie Blackmon. The two parties have reached an agreement on the figure of $3.5 million for the 2016 season.

The 2014 All-Star had a very good year in 2015 slashing .287/.450/.797 while swiping 43 bases. Even though the Rockies filed for a salary of $2.7 million and Blackmon filed for $3.9 million, the team seems to be getting a good deal at $3.5 million. Consider, MLB Trade Rumors projected that the arbitration settlement between the two would be at $4.5 million. This was the first season Blackmon was arbitration eligible.

Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal confirmed the report.

DJ LeMahieu remains the only player on the Rockies yet to settle. Including 2016, Blackmon has three more years of team control.
