Veteran Mark Reynolds is showing fans and coaches alike exactly why he deserves a place on this team.
The Colorado Rockies had dropped their previous two games coming into the Thursday afternoon matchup against the Seattle Mariners but would not allow themselves to be swept, all thanks to a stellar second inning. Colorado drove in four runs early in the contest that all started with a 450-foot blast from Reynolds, his team-leading 14th of the season; only Charlie Blackmon and Nolan Arenado have longer home runs this season with distances of 452 and 451 respectively. The Rox would not let go of that lead and would go on to the 6-3 victory.
With the win, Colorado moves to 34-22 on the season, sharing the NL West lead with Arizona.
