There comes a time in every young man’s life where he must rise up for what’s right. Well, Not only did University of Colorado’s Senior guard Derrick White rise up, he slammed his message down with authority.
Early in the first half Thursday in an 86-81 Loss to the Utah Utes, White pump-faked a three-point attempt which sent Utah freshman forward Tyler Rawson flying, the senior then rose up into the face center Jayce Johnson—a 7-footer—for the posterization in what will ultimately be a dunk of the year candidate. White finished the game with 31 points on 10-of-17 shooting and one addition to the highlight reel.
The Parker native is having a standout senior season and is averaging 17.3 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.9 rebounds this season for a team that is now 16-13 overall with just two games remaining before the Pac-12 tournament.
