BOULDER — Fans are back!
The University of Colorado has announced that their four main athletic facilities will be open at 100% capacity this fall. Once the new athletic year beings in August, Folsom Field, the CU Events Center, Prentup Field, and the tennis complex on CU South will be completely open for events with fans in attendance, athletic director Rick George announced on Monday.
Boulder County is still deliberating on the policy regarding masks or proof of vaccination.
“All of us, the student-athletes, coaches, and staff are looking forward to welcoming our fans to every one of our venues after playing before mostly empty seats last year,” George said.
The COVID-19 pandemic caused the fan attendance to be drastically limited during the 2020-21 season, as was the case all over sports last year. For Colorado, family members were only allowed at one football game last year.
Season tickets for most sports are currently on sale, as well as tickets for the football game against Texas A&M in Denver this September.
