Ram Fam 16 just continued to grow bigger and more talented all the time.

On Monday, Colorado State Rams football announced the commitment of Collin Hill, a 3-star quarterback out of South Carolina.

Hill signed his financial aid agreement with the school Monday, and Hill plans to enrol in the school in January. He’s a 6-foot-5, 210-pound quarterback who was one of five finalists for South Carolina’s Mr. Football. Just wrapping up his senior season, Hill competed with his team in the 4A State Championship game and then the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas. In that game, which takes stars from each North and South Carolina to and has them face off against one another, Hill went 15-28 for 192 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.

Dorman, his high school team, lost in the state championship, but Hill set school records in passing yards with 3,505 and also tossed 35 touchdowns compared to only 11 interceptions.

Here’s a look at Hill’s 2014, junior year, highlight tape:

For Hill, the competition at the position will be stiff, indeed.

First and foremost, there’s redshirt sophomore Nick Stevens, who has a lock on the starting spot. For now. Stevens started all 11 games he played in this season, and while he split some time with Coleman Key, Key recently left the school for greener pastures.

But, the Rams also brought in graduate student, formerly of the University of Georgia, Faton Bauta, who will be able to play immediately this season. The three will compete, along with J.C. Robles and Chandler Drachslin, two current freshmen.

In the meantime, the Rams (7-5) face the Nevada Wolf Pack (6-6), also of the Mountain West, in the NOVA Home Loans Arizona Bowl on Tuesday, Dec. 29. That game kicks off at 5:30 p.m. MT and will be televised on FOX.
