Contrary to what some in the national media have said, Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders’ Colorado Buffaloes have improved and will continue to improve throughout the spring transfer portal period. Dayan Hayes, Payton Kirkland, Rayyan Buell and Dallan Hayden committed to Colorado after visiting last weekend. The Buffs and many other schools await the decisions of Nikhai Hill-Green and Elijah Herring but could earn commitments from some of the players below.

Multiple 2025 and 2026 recruits will also be in Boulder and it wouldn’t be a surprise to get a commitment or two over the weekend.

Transfers

Former Michigan State DL, Derrick Harmon

Derrick Harmon played in 26 games with 15 starts in three years at Michigan State. After redshirting his freshman season, Harmon became an immediate contributor with 70 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, one pass defended and one forced fumble since 2022. The 6-foot-5, 320-pounder is the top-ranked uncommitted defensive lineman in the transfer portal and has been in contact with multiple Power 4 programs.

Former Miami (OH) RB, Rashad Amos

The 6-foot-2 234-pound running back had 210 rushes for 1075 yards and 13 touchdowns for the Redhawks last season and entered the transfer portal in December. He committed to Mississippi State on April 13th, before the spring transfer portal period started. Amos arrived on campus early Thursday morning and is expected to flip to Colorado according to 247Sports.

He will go on multiple visits after this weekend to Power 4 programs.

Former Clemson IOL, Zechariah Owens

Zach Owens was a 2023 four-star recruit who only played in two games as a true freshman for Clemson. The 6-foot-6, 375-pound offensive lineman entered the transfer portal on April 22nd. He has received significant Power 4 interest.

Former Auburn CB, Colton Hood

Colton Hood was a 2023 four-star recruit who only played in four games in his true freshman season at Auburn. He entered the transfer portal on April 23rd and arrived for his visit to Boulder on Thursday night. Hood was in the conversation to start at cornerback for Auburn in 2024. His younger brother, 2024 three-star running back Brandon Hood, is also visiting this weekend.

Georgia commit, RB Brandon Hood

Brandon Hood is a 2024 four-star running back who committed and signed to Georiga as a preferred walk-on on February 7th. Hood is visiting with his older brother, former Auburn CB Colton Hood.
