Chris Harris Jr. allowed one catch for just 10 yards in the Denver Broncos 24-10 Super Bowl victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. Like usual, the Broncos didn’t get a lot of respect heading into the game and the superstar corner had something to say about it.
“They were the number one offense in the world before this,” Harris said. “All y’all talked about was Cam Newton.”
He didn’t stop there.
“All week they said we can’t stop ’em. They talkin’ ’bout [Ted] Ginn? About [Jerricho] Cotchery? Who are these guys?”
Compared to the All-Pro, record-breaking list of receivers that the Broncos had just faced coming into the game, Harris was right. He might as well have been on vacation.
Harris Jr. said that Denver was able to get in Cam Newton’s head early and even added, “We dared him to throw. Did you see him dance today? We were the ones dancing.”
It’s hard to argue with facts. But he also offered an opinion as to where this Denver Broncos defense is ranked throughout history. His response was easy, “I think we’re the best ever.”
