The Colorado Rockies have made a transaction on their primary roster, the first of the season. Former All-Star outfielder Charlie Blackmon has been placed on the 15-day Disabled List, taking his spot with be catcher Dustin Garneau.
Blackmon, who has a had a rough first week to the season has been battling turf toe in his left foot. In eight games Blackmon is hitting .185 with three extra base hits, three runs batted in and one stolen base. The Rockies leadoff man had a fantastic 2015 where he batted .287, hit 17 home runs, drove in 58 and stole 43.
Garneau comes up from Triple-A where he played five games getting four hits in 18 at bats. He spent a portion of last season in the majors as well, playing 22 games hitting .157 with two home runs and eight RBI.

The Rockies now have three catchers on the their roster with Nick Hundley, Tony Wolters and Garneau.
