Bill Walton just loves to personify the mascot of any team that he’s doing commentary for. He’s guaranteed to work a Buffalo stampede reference into the broadcast, or talk about how the Buffs need to trample their opponent under their hooves.
I enjoy it at times, but it’s also a bit much at other times. I would love to hear Bill Walton and Bob Knight do a game together. They’d be fighting with each other by the first media timeout.
Also, hats off to Dave Pasch, the poor guy that has to rein Walton in every time. It’s a full time job to try and steer Walton back to the basketball game, and he does it pretty well.
