Hey, Henry. I think I’m going to need to break this comment into a couple posts, so here it goes:

After last week’s abysmal performance in Pullman, I felt that the season was basically dead. In my mind, the next W we would talk about would take place Sept. 5 2020, at CSU. I started considering if the backend of the Buffs defense could actually defend the number offense of #1 ranked Mater Dei HS. This was seriously a real question in my mind. After all, the Buffs are playing a lot of guys that aren’t that far removed from high school.

Coming into this game a figured I’ll watch the first quarter, but I’m going to be switching to the World Series after that. Boy, was I wrong. I never watched I single at bat.

I have to say that when I listened to the pod and you were laying out how the Buffs could win this game, I thought, “Man, it has to suck to have to talk about winning this game when we all know it’s pointless.” I just watched slow Cougar receivers chew us up. This was going to be a nightmare and there’s no point in selling me on anything else. Well, look what happened. I came across so many angry fans on Twitter and all I could think of is how proud I am of this team. I felt like they could’ve packed it in and limped off into the sunset. But no, they came out fighting and blew my mind. I’m not sure that happens last season under McIntyre. We had the chances to win but couldn’t capitalize. For many, it’s more of the same ol same ol. For me, I see a culture shift and a team that’s going to have success moving forward with Mel Tucker.

MacIntyre would be 1-7 right now.

One last thing, I’ve killed Steven Montez for good reason. I don’t know what happens with this guy but that was the most complete showing of his skills since he came into Autzen Stadium as a freshman and got the win. It’s sad the refs didn’t see the late hit on him. Which clearly affected him later. But he really looked like a player that could play at the next level until he got hurt. Great game by Montez overall..

All I’ll say is this team is 3 possessions from being a 6 win team. That’s where the frustration comes from. Typical #BuffsShit.
I’ll leave it at that although I have enough to discuss I could have my own podcast.

The fight is there, the mindset is there. I believe that we will win … and can be .500 … We have a chance against UCLA, Stanford, and don’t rule out a win against the UW puppies in Folsom or an upset in Salt Lake.
I feel that Coach Tucker has a brighter, his players are in it, and we can go up from here… That being said, there are a lot of variables that go into them being 3-5 right now on a 4 game skid. Play calling, penalties, etc.
The bright sides are there – Buffs controlling most of the game against the Trojans and after each loss seeing next year’s commits staying hyped on twitter for the Tucker Train.
