Regarding Alfano,

What I see is a guy who quit on a program that was going to bring him massive weekly exposure. A team that’s on autopilot for the playoffs every season. A place where his supposed dominance would get the most hype, top flight coaching, and likely lock him in safely as an early round NFL prospect. All the things that a kid wants when they choose a school like Alabama. And what did he do? He chose to transfer to – Clemson. Oh wait, no Ohio State. Oh wait, no LSU, Oh wait..none of those top tier programs.

Say what you will, but clearly Alfano decided he’d rather deal with a small pond with smaller fish, over a big one with a lot of bigger fish. You can take that however, but clearly he doesn’t want any parts of those types of football programs at this point. And that most definitely doesn’t scream Godzilla to me.

The best thing that comes out of this transfer is that Mel Tucker and this program is in the news, and once again, Mel Tucker is a boss recruiter. No matter how things play out for Alfano, players are undoubtedly talking about Mel and CU.

Henry, as the basketball season begins, I have to say I remain cautiously optimistic. I can’t get too hyped because I can’t handle it if things don’t go as I would’ve hoped. My hopeful expectation is a Pac 12 title – and at least ONE tourney win. If we can get that, I’ll be golden.. let’s see if they can pull it off. The last time we were thought to be this good – it didn’t quite pan out..
