Re: Montez

RK hinted at it, and I think that there will be a lot more time to discuss this, but Montez does look to have a lot of NFL-caliber potential. He’s built like a Cam Newton/Andrew Luck and has a rocket for an arm and I’m already impressed by his accuracy and the way he places the football where only the receiver can catch it. I know it’s a small sample size, but I think the young man’s ceiling is very high.

I was following with you Shap. 10 percent of one thing is not necessarily equal to 10% of another thing.
As far as who should start: Montez/Liufau? I’m going with the senior leader, for 2 reasons. 1st, the guy has yet to throw an interception. He was absolutely lighting it up this year and nothing about his play prior to the injury (and even 1 play after the injury) would lead anyone to think his job was in doubt. 2nd, the opponent is USC. As in the same team with arguably less talent than last year that Sefo was lighting up before his other injury. I want to read the last chapter of the Sefo Liufau story that was cut short last year. There’s something redemptive about this entire season that validates all of the hard work that the Buffs have put in, and it just fits to see Sefo overcome yet another hurdle.
