Hey Hammerin Hank,
I think I’m officially siding with team Hank over Henry, just has a nice ring to it. My question for you is in regard to the “secrecy” of college football practices. Why is it that most NFL teams have essentially every summer practice open to the public but college practices are shrouded in mystery? Is it really about protecting your own schemes and gameplan, or is it something entirely different?
My personal theory is this. Practices are all about refining your game and improvement, but that also means they will look sloppy and have lots of mistakes. As a result, maybe teams don’t want the media reporting that, as it may make a team look bad if a recruit is trying to find out if they want to attend that school. Might be a little far-fetched but love to get more of your thoughts on that. Sko buffs!
