This is what Stevie Montez does. Gets called out by mediocre performance then goes off next week.

Mac never beat a higher ranked team, Mel is 2 for 2.Interestingly, both teams were ranked 24, and CU wins both 34-31 with a Stefanou FG I

Adding to that last part, Brendan Rice was also at both games. A lot of similarities.

Still think ASU is over rated. ASU had a great defense because they played nobody with an offense. Michigan St is another way over rated Big 10 team and has not had an offense since Leveon Bell was there. CU defense is a lack of talent and depth. Johnson is the best pass rusher and he was out early. You are right about no pass rush. Honestly I am happy if CU keeps people under 30 this year. I do not think it is going to dramatically improve till better talent is on campus.

Hey Henry. I love Laviska as much as anyone. But do you know (or could you look up), what percentage of plays he’s played over the last significant amount of games. Maybe going back to USC last year? I feel like his playing style is amazing, and reminds me a lot of a young Brandon Marshall the way he fights for extra yards. But it is not only ultimately hurting the Buffs not having him on the field, but also has to be hurting his draft stock. Heading into the season I could have seen him going in the top 10 easily. And maybe sneaking into the top 5 with a dominating season. But are these constant injuries knocking him out of the 1st round entirely?

Glad we got the win but as I said before, the play calling is just off to me. I’m sure this is a subjective thought. I heard you say that you felt the plays were too conservative down the stretch and that you felt they should’ve thrown the ball more. I felt the opposite going down the stretch. My main issue is when it’s crunch time, I’m watching CU pound the rock and moving down the field, only to inexplicably get cute with some goofy screen and throw everything off schedule. This happened repeatedly in the 4th quarter. Just stick with what is working. CU was literally hurting their players with the run game. Ugh..

As for the defense, it is what it is. I don’t know that much is going to change until Coach can get better talent. Nate Landman looks very ordinary this season. Guys like Van Diest and Wells are simply too slow. Those are guys that should be depth players. It’s going to take some time but Mel Tucker is going to get his dawgs. We’re just have to see how it plays out..
