No love for Tony Brown, huh? I’ve heard many times he’s our most consistent receiver and in line for being in the top 4

Good call on Tony Brown. Totally skipped over his name in my notes. Just talked to him yesterday and I had a few notes from that convo I wanted to share. I’ll bring them up on tomorrow’s pod.

Imo Tony Brown and Maurice Bell will play before Dixon and the Lavonte. Both have been mentioned by Tucker in fall camp

Do you think Tucker’s desire to play a lot of players will hurt since he does not have the depth like he did in Georgia. I watched a Georgia game, It was a conference game and close and a graphic came up and said Georgia played 22 dudes on defense in the first half. While that can work at Georgia, do you think CU is to thin in depth to do that

Henry –

Adding to the below, I would surmise the WR depth as follows:

3 WR (1) : L. Shenault / D. Stanley (slot) / KD Nixon OR Tony Brown
3 WR (2) : D. Arias / J. Jackson (slot) / Tony Brown OR M. Bell
3 WR (3) : V. Shenault / C. Chiaverini / M. Bell

In reality, I think we are likely to see only lines (1) and (2) unless it is a blowout. In those cases, I hope we limit V. Shenault to 4 games so he can keep that red-shirt. I think Huffman-Dixon is absolutely a red-shirt candidate and unlikely to play a substantial role this year at all.

Now, if / when they go 4 WR, I think we see the following:

4 WR (1) : L. Shenault / D. Stanley / KD Nixon / Tony Brown OR D.Arias
4 WR (2) : D. Arias / J. Jackson / M. Bell / V. Shenault

All that said, I appreciate the continuous content. Now, what / when / how will the TEs factor in when you have this much talent at WR? Who do take off the field in a 2 WR set? How often do we think they will be in 11 personnel? 12 personnel? Will we see 21 personnel at all with the relatively positive news we have heard out of the RBs, but without a true fullback on the roster?

Thanks.
