A 30-year veteran of the bookmaking business, Chris Andrews, who now writes for AgainstTheNumber.com, released his over/under win totals for the 2015-16 college football season. Andrews says he used the same formula he would use if he was setting the lines for a Vegas book.

The line for the Buffs? 4.5 wins.

While I’ve said it is certainly possible for the Buffs to make a bowl game this season, my original prediction for the win total this year was five, and I plan on sticking with that until at least fall camp. But even that is over Andrews’ number.

Throughout the season, we’ll be examining betting lines for CU here at BSNBuffs.com, and for entertainment purposes, giving our advice on the lines at hand, so why not start here.

Over 4.5 would be the bet if that is indeed the line set for the Buffaloes this season. Colorado will likely be favored, or very close underdogs in the first four games of the season, meaning there’s a solid chance you could knock out 80 percent of the win total with 9 games left on the schedule. Two of those coming against Oregon State and Washington State, who Andrews set at four and five wins respectively.

Remember, the Buffs play a 13 game schedule this year, and while that doesn’t bode well for their Bowl chances, forcing them to win seven games (barring a shortage on bowl eligible teams) to gain eligibility, it certainly plays into them beating the number of 4.5.

To put it simply, if the Buffs don’t cover this line, the season will be considered a failure. Four wins or less, on this schedule, would not show significant improvement.

Kelley named to Rimington watch list

Watch list season is upon us, and the first Buff on the radar is the Buffs center, Alex Kelley.

Early Tuesday morning, Kelley was named to the watch list for the Rimington trophy, which is awarded every year to the nation’s best center.

Kelley joins six other Pac-12ers on the list, making the Conference of Champions second to only the SEC (8) in terms of most players on the list.

Munyer signs with the Cheifs

As originally stated on Twitter by Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre, and later confirmed by multiple KC journalists, former Colorado offensive lineman, Daniel Munyer, was signed by the Chiefs today.

Munyer becomes the only of the Buffs rookie mini-camp invitees to land a contract. Greg Henderson was signed as an undrafted free agent to the Jets after the draft, but has since been released by the team.
