Yesterday the Colorado Buffaloes football program moved into the brand new Champions Center and as defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt would say, “WE’RE MOVING!” The project began when the University of Colorado’s Board of Regents approved the upgrades in December of 2013. The actual work began in the spring of 2014 and is expected to be completely finished by the spring or summer of 2016. The updates to Folsom Field will be finished sometime in early September.
Back in 2013 CU athletic director Rick George said “I want to be clear that this isn’t a want that we’re here for today, this is a need that we have at the University of Colorado in Boulder for our athletic facilities.”
This is a big day for Colorado Football, completing a portion of this massive project. The reaction on Twitter alone shows how pumped the team is.
Moved into the Champions Center today. Beyond blessed. Expect big things. #GoBuffs #OurYear
