The Denver East High School student averaged 26.4 points per game during his junior year while shooting 51 percent from the field. He sits at No. 304 on 247sports’ composite basketball rankings.
Kountz was in Boulder for the weekend on a visit while the Buffaloes also had current NBA players Spencer Dinwiddie, Andre Roberson and Derrick White back visiting the team. That surely didn’t hurt their case.
The 6-foot-4, 170-pound combo guard also held offers from Colorado State, Denver, Air Force, Wyoming, East Carolina, UMass, Portland State, Rutgers, VCU and Wichita State.
