The Denver Nuggets finished the 2015-16 season with a 33-49 record; well out of the playoffs but building a team with a strong foundation and culture. However, things change fast in the NBA and expectations for the team could be on the rise sooner than expected.
Nuggets GM Tim Connelly said recently that the team is done missing the playoffs, while Head Coach Michael Malone took a more measured approach by saying a wait-and-see approach is best as the roster for the 2016-17 season is nowhere near complete. Harrison Wind and I discuss what those comments might mean from each guy’s perspective.
Before that talk, we discuss each player, how their season unfolded and what to expect from them this summer — including if we expect them to return to the Nuggets. It’s hard to pinpoint disappointing seasons from the young guys on this roster, but there is definitely a lot of growth that needs to take place.
To wrap up the show we delve into the first round matchups in both the Eastern and Western conferences and give our thoughts on how those series might play out. The post season is upon us, where will the Nuggets go from here?
