By almost any realistic measure, the Denver Nuggets have had a successful NBA season under first year head coach Michael Malone and rookies Emmanuel Mudiay and Nikola Jokic. But there are plenty of questions that still hang over the franchise as the regular season winds down and the transition into the offseason takes place.
Harrison Wind and I go over numerous topics and the breakdown is as follows:
Segment One from start of show to 35:35 mark: Week in review including: The seven game home stand, team chemistry, the start of the five game road trip, the breaking of the rookie wall by Mudiay, Jokic, Devin Booker, D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns. We also look at the impact of D.J. Augustin and the recent DeMarcus Cousins blowup and his potential change of scenery this summer.
Segment Two from 38:12 to 50:05 mark: We discuss draft prospects that might be had in the 8-17 range where the Nuggets may have 2-3 picks. The names include: Jakob Poeltl of Utah, Domantas Sabonis of Gonzaga, Ivan Rabb of California, Timothe Luwawu of France and Denzel Valentine of Michigan State.
Segment Three from 50:06 to end of show: What targets could be on Denver’s radar at the wing position that will be free agents this summer. We also go over out three NCAA teams that we Marched with through the Madness over the years.
