What do we know about tonight’s draft?
Ben Simmons will be the No. 1 pick and Brandon Ingram will likely go No. 2 to the Los Angeles Lakers.
Outside of those two, this draft could go off the rails. Boston doesn’t seem to be enamored with anyone at No.3, and general manager Danny Ainge isn’t afraid to pull a blockbuster trade on draft night like he’s done in year’s past.
Tonight could also be a huge night for the Nuggets. With three first-round selections and two more in the second, this could be a franchise-altering draft for Denver.
Does Tim Connelly call up Cavs general manager David Griffin and inquire about Kevin Love? Even though the Bulls jettisoned Derrick Rose, is Jimmy Butler still available?
Four BSN Nuggets writers tried their hand at predicting tonight’s draft.
How’d we do?
Draft Notes:
Ricky Rubio is likely on the trade block after the Timberwolves selected Kris Dunn.
Jakob Poeltl fell to his likely floor at No. 16 to the Celtics.
There were rumors that Chinese prospect Zhou Qi was going to Denver at No. 19, but the Nugget backed off in favor of Juan Hernangomez.
The 76ers selected Temple product DeAndre’ Bembry, keeping the Philadelphia native at home.
Tyler Ulis’ size scared off a lot of general managers, but not R.C. Buford. The Spurs got a steal at No. 29.
