If players play hard for a coach they like, shouldn’t they play just as hard for a coach that is less likeable but is more likely to help them make the Playoffs and beyond? Players who fight for an inept coach like Joseph because they like him are shooting themselves in the foot. Players who play hard all the time regardless of the circumstances, like a Kuechly, are the real stars of football. Guys who hold back for whatever reason probably should not be in the league.

Last Sunday there were numerous passes to DT and Emmanuel that required extra effort but were definitely catchable. If a trade can be made, now may be the time to offload players who’s heart isn’t in it.
