Sure looked like it! This team has better weapons than they’ve had since the year Welker and Julius Thomas left and a much better quarterback than they’ve had in the last two years, maybe even three if you want to get technical about it.

What is the status on the salary cap if the Broncos surprisingly decide to cut Booker? Would they save money on the cap or be saddled with more dead money, a-la Watson/Lynch (potentially). I really want him to get better but he’s so underwhelming every single time he touches the ball. His best play in a broncos uniform was hurdling a player on a run that didnt even count. He’s also keeping that sweet 23 away from Phil!

The offense’s inability to put together drives the past 2 seasons to give the D a rest – well that has a huge effect on a defense. Because of an offense that’s shaping up to be much better, and the resultant defensive resurgence, look for the Broncos to play ball control and win a lot of games without breaking 30.
On the other hand, there are lots of weapons on the offensive side of the ball – it could be better than that.

Another key – Musgrave’s play calling, which I’ve really liked.
