With the 26th pick in the first round of the NFL Draft, the Denver Broncos selected quarterback Paxton Lynch from Memphis. The Broncos traded up to draft the six-foot-seven, 245-pound gunslinger from Deltona, Florida.
He left Memphis the end of his redshirt junior year with 8,836 passing yards, 59 passing touchdowns, 687 rushing yards and 17 rushing TDs in 38 games as a Tiger.
As he heard his named called, the newest Denver broncos signal-caller was overcome with emotion, an amazing moment for a young man who just saw his dream come true.
