This is dead on. Joseph is just brutal at clock management.

Well done, Ryan. Sickening coaching all day…including a clueless challenge that cost a timeout. I don’t care how much of a “leader of men” someone is, you don’t get to be an NFL coach without knowing football, but this really does appear to be a man who struggles to grasp some of the more basic concepts of the game.

Hopefully this is the final straw. I feel bad for VJ because he never should have been put in this position. Nothing about his career says he should’ve been a head coach at this stage.

Hit it right on the head, good sir. Perhaps the most frustrating of all do far this year! Times up for VJ.

Perfect article. You said it exactly the way I was thinking it. I know I harp on VJ a lot, but this should be the final straw. The real losers of the Houston Denver game is the fans that are forced to rely on VJ to bumble his way through coaching this team.

He’s brutal at clock management. He’s brutal at coaching disciplined football. He’s brutal at creating a gameplay. He’s basically josh McDaniels without hoodie lite’s talent

As much as I agree that Vance Joseph is awful at game management, and for the most part cost us another game, should we not also be apportioning some blame Keenum’s way?

He’s the guy controlling the offense on the field. Is it the case that Case isn’t having much, if any, input into the plays he’s running within the game, or that he doesn’t have the balls to say “screw that!” and call his own play, if he thinks something else could work when he’s lined up?

Of course, it could go spectacularly wrong were that to happen, but I’d accept a QB overriding a coach if trying to make something happen to give the team the best chance to win, if he were then to own it and admit he messed up if he gets it wrong.

Even Nick Foles in Philly seemed to have some sway last season, not least suggesting to go with the Philly Special. How often is Keenum suggesting plays or just freestyling his way through? Or is he just another “yes” man doing what he’s told?

Appreciate he’s not PFM or yet hit the heights that would usually justify a QB having the luxury to call his own plays, but he’s the starting QB, and has historically been good at running no-huddle, up-tempo stuff. His book is titled “Playing For More”. I demand more from my QB!

Based on what we’ve seen from the sidelines over the last season and a half, I’d trust Keenum to get us in the right place more than VJ.

That said, what we really need is to get Gary Kubiak’s brain on the sideline somehow. If only as an interim measure. Good run game, linemen that can play the run, and a QB he brought to the NFL.

It can’t be any worse than we’ve endured thus far.

Beers on Michael from Broncos Europe in week 17 if one of you ask Keenum if he has the balls to call his own plays in week 11.

With John Harbaugh potentially on the hottest in Baltimore, kick Vance to the curb now ready to scoop up Harbaugh. If he doesn’t stay within the division…

Just get anyone named Harbaugh to coach!!?

I see some reports that elway might wait till the end of the season to fire vance. Why would he wait?

No clear replacement for him. Not like we have a promising up-and-coming coordinator that we’d feel good about promoting.

Two completely conflicting statements made by Vance about the game.

1. Thought process about the end of the first half decision: You have to take chances when you’re a losing team.

2. Thoughts about the end of the game: You can’t take chances. It’s too risky. Gotta just try to get the win.

Go look up his quotes about his decisions. That is exactly what he was claiming about his thought process. He can’t even make excuses that are sound. The guy has no concept of identity. He inspires no confidence.
