How about we draft the kicker from Texas and move on from McManus! He is really good, has the best name, and will be cost controlled.

If we don’t get Rodgers, do you think the FO becomes more likely to talk themselves into a 1st round QB in what is percieved to be a “weak” class? The expectation is that they’re pretty risk averse when it comes to draft QBs and that they’d go the FA veteran route but there really aren’t many compelling options out there.
Add to that the history we’ve had passing on the draft for veteran trades/FA, it makes me wonder if the FO will be wary of trying to sell that to the fan base (and the locker room) for ANOTHER season.
