Onion Booty Bronco
“Booty Booty Booty Booty, rockin’ everywhere, rockin’ everywhere.” It’s Onion Booty!
I hope everyone’s holding up okay during these strange and uncertain times. This community is the best of all the communities! Thank you RK, Zac, and Mase for being our three headed rock. Peace, love, & entertainment from NYC, the quarantine capital of America. As for my inquisition…
1) Book recommendation: EDUCATED by Tara Westover, really gripping story and powerful imagery. (RK, it’s nonfiction, meaning it’s a true story. Not sure if it’s out in picture book yet…)
2 a) Melvin Gordon—hollaaaa!! Wa wa wee wa! Such an electric addition. Do you think his signing hurts Phil’s feelings and, if so, will it drive him to be even greater?
2 b) How will Melvin’s presence impact Phil’s leadership? I think we patch “C’s” on jerseys this year, if only to ensure Phil and the other baby Bronco leaders—Court, Dalton, & Justin—that, despite the new free agency additions, the team is still theirs now.
2 c) And is it safe to say we have the running back tandem with the best hairdo—Melvin with his Medusa locks and Phil with his Foxy Cleopatra fro?
3) For Mr. B!
4) Can we ratify a bill that institutes punishment by dead-arm whenever Paxton Lynch (ow!) is mentioned on the pod? Times are getting so glorious in Broncos Country, and utterances of his name—such a Lacrosse Bro name, right?!—drags us back to, let’s call it, the “Post Manning Manure Era.”
5) Speaking of Paxton Lynch (ow!), who are the top three Denver Broncos you’d love to sock in the face? You CAN’T choose Paxton (owie!!) or Josh McDaniels…
6) For Bubby.
7) For Zac, who has been so admirably resilient and strong for his girlfriend’s family for their, and his, loss. Prayers for you guys. So grateful to have you back on the pod, Zac. Laugh like no one’s listening!
8) Doesn’t the number eight look like a vertical booty?! Onion Booty out!!
Love,
OB Bronco

Hey guys!
Mase, I’m a bit disappointed. “No 43yo has ever had a breakout year”. I was at the self check-out line at the grocery store, listening to the pod, when you said this. I looked like a lunatic, scaring several people in a 30ft radius when I involuntarily shouted JAMIE MOYER!!!! I even got a sideways look from the security guard. Mase, how can you forget his legend, or Nolan Ryan for that matter? Ryan had Robin Ventura in a headlock at age 46. And yes, Ryan’s decline did start at 42, but it didn’t affect his win-loss record until 44. Moyer, however, got better after 41. Dropped his ERA from a 5.21 to a 4.3 in two years, and won his first and only world series start at age 45. I know starting pitchers and starting QBs is not an apples to apples comparison. Brady has talked about his longevity as if he were the second coming of either. While odds are he has a Montana or Favre like stint in Tampa Bay, your hope (as a bucs fan) is that Brady has a stretch in Tampa like Moyer did in Philadelphia.
Speaking of Brady, what number will he wear in TB? Does he pay off Chris Godwin to get 12, or does he go back to 10, which he wore in college? He’d have to pay off Scotty Miller as well. Also, 10 would be an awkward number considering Eli…
Anyhoo, this week has had me busting out the spackle. I tend to jump with my fists in the air when I get excited. At my height, that doesn’t combine well with standard 10 foot ceilings. 2 for Bouye, 1 for Casey, and 2 for Gordon. I didn’t know who Glasgow was, so no hole for him. Is that it, or does John have one more trick up his sleeve?

Hey guys thanks for answering my questions last week, I’m back again.
KJ hamler, I don’t like him I know y’all haven’t been high on him either that being said why? I don’t like him because I can’t unsee desean Hamilton comp. would he be an upgrade over Hamilton? If so would you rather have Hamilton and the draft pick or hamler and obviously lose the draft pick?
LONESTAR BRONCO
Also do you worry about longevity and sustainability at only 176 pounds? The only other WR that light I can remember was JJ Nelson a few years back and he ran a 4.27 but has been a non factor so durability hasn’t really been tested. What ya think

Chiefly,
I’m writing to thank you gents for your sedulous answer to my draft question. I waited Patiently until Saturday to listen to the pod. My plan was to accompany my trail run (in a futile attempt to thwart my ever increasing dad-bod) with your harmonious voices. As big H knows, phone service in montana, even just outside of town can be dicey. Needless to say, the draft pod wouldn’t load (I’m always crunched to fit a run in during my son’s nap) so I sadly ran without.
However, upon my return to the trail head I found my truck boxed in by a car stuck in the snow. Rather than spend time fretting about it or waiting around, I found service, downloaded the pod, and went for another run, this time with the angelic glistening of you two in my ear buds. Twas a magical time to say the least and I may even have burned off a few of those extra beers I afforded myself earlier in the week.
Thanks fellows for always buoying my spirits.
What kind of pods do you all listen to when not doing draft stuff?
Love

1. Over/Under 50 sacks for our D-Line assume we resign Wolf? Last year we had 40 sacks and gave up 41 sacks (we didn’t have Bradley for the whole year).
2. Over under 13 interceptions for our CB and Safeties? Last year we had 10 interceptions as a team.
3. For Pat (for Drew??)
4. Over/Under 16 combined rushing/receiving touchdown for Lindsay and Gordon? Last year we had 12 rushing and receiving TD from our backs.
5. What house would the sorting hat (From Harry Potter) pick for each of you?
Houses
Gryffindor. Gryffindor values courage, bravery, nerve, and chivalry. Gryffindor’s mascot is the lion, and its colours are scarlet and gold
Hufflepuff. Hufflepuff values hard work, patience, justice, and loyalty. The house mascot is the badger, and it’s colours are canary yellow and black.
Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw values intelligence, creativity, learning, and wit. The house mascot is an eagle and the house colours are blue and bronze (blue and silver in the films).
Slytherin. values ambition, cunning, leadership, and resourcefulness, it is said they will do anything to get their way. The house mascot of Slytherin is the serpent, and the house colours are green and silver.

Alright boys, I’d like to do an experiment today. If the worst-case scenario presents itself to the Broncos at #15, who should we pick? Go ahead and assume that three quarterbacks will go in the top 14. That would mean the Broncos are picking the twelfth non-QB. So, on your Broncos Big Board, who do you have at #12?
Bristol Bronco Fan
Hi boys. I absolutely love your pod and think you should do some more work on the DNVR Broncos Podcast because you were great filling in on there. I have done a mock draft, what do you think?
Round 1: CeeDee Lamb
Round 2: Damon Arnette
Round 2 (Traded up): Lloyd Cushenberry III
Round 3: Calvin Throckmorton
Round 4: Leki Fotu
Round 5: Demetris Robertson
Round 6: Dylan Singleton
Round 7: Braden Mann.
Keep up the good work.

Are there any guys that are like Ruggs and hill in later rounds?
Would love to see you guys do 2-3 pods a week leading up to the draft now that we are a month away!! Would love to see you have all 5 of the broncos guys on a draft pod too! Keep up the good work!

Hey guys! I just saw the Jets signed Breshad Perriman and the 49’ers signed Travis Benjamin. I was wondering if you think this will affect what these teams do in terms of the 1st round? Do you think it’s more likely one of the top 3 WR’s fall to 15 or is that just wishful thinking?
LONESTAR BRONCO
Sorry to comment twice but I’ve done a couple of mocks online that have resulted in Brown, Kinlaw, Okudah, Simmons, Young, the big 4 tackles and the big 3 WR all gone by pick 15. Obviously this is worse case but if it happens and Denver can’t find a trade partner what would your move be? Is mims and Jefferson to big a reach? Josh Jones? Cj henderson?

Howdy boys, I hope quarantine is suiting you guys well.
Coming into the draft now I feel like we need two of each Wrs, Oline, and Dline. I’ve seen a lot of analysts identify safety and off ball linebacker as needs as well but I don’t agree with that assessment. Fangio has shown that he’s fine with the backers we have by not pursuing any free agents and I think that marshal will slide into will parks role seemlessly. (I’ve been watching the last 5 broncos games on game pass alot during quarantine and Marshal looked really good filling in for Jackson those last two games).
Do you think safety or backer is a need?
Also what’s yer ideal paring of an early round pick paired with a day 3 pick at Wr, Oline, and D line?
Mine would be:
jeudy(early pick) and Gandy Golden(day 3 pick) at WR
Cushenberry III and Ben Bartch at Oline
Davon Hamilton and James Lynch at dline
Also Dre loving these film rooms, they alone are worth the price of a subscription and I can’t wait to see the ones you’ll put together for the rookie crop. Is one coming for our new punter? Only half kidding.
Sorry for the long one gents, hope yer doing well.

I just saw this mock draft from Chad Reuter I like the pick of Ruggs and the trade up but I’m curious if that’s the pick you would make. I personally would be very tempted to get Simmons! http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001107680/article/fourround-2020-nfl-mock-draft-six-trades-shake-up-round-1
