Happy birthday RK. I just turned 29 myself and feel old too! Something about these last moments in your 20’s can get to you! Crazy to think how different people feel turning 20 compared to 30 (make it stop!)

Now for the football question: do you guys know of any NFL players in history who switched positions coming into the league and had lasting success? I’d say CB to safety doesn’t really count, nor DT to DE or vice versa.

Thanks guys and have a great day! Also happy national meatball day!

Hey Gents!

Had a really long pre-amble to this, but figured I’d just get right to the point.

What do you think needs to happen for the Broncos to turn #9 into the following:

– 1st Round Pick 2021
– 1st Round Pick 2022
– 2nd Round Pick 2022

Would love to see if there is a scenario where we could coax a haul from either Washington or Chicago for a qb at #9 and set ourselves up for potentially an embarrassment of riches in a DEEP draft class next year. (Oh yeah, we could also parlay 3 #1’s and 2 #2s very easily for a certain QB in Texas if the management team there decides to hold him through the draft.)

Thanks!

My guys!

I was just having a conversation with my boss about a project that we’ve got to knock out over the next few weeks. I’m taking lead on the project, but it’s not completely my area of expertise. I was explaining to her that I’m happy to do the work, but that it’s not exactly my specialty.

I thought a relevant analogy was Noah Fant… He’s OK in pass-pro, but that’s not the big reason you brought him onto the team. I thought this was a particularly astute example and shared it with my boss. She looked at me like I was CRAZY, called me a nerd, and that she had no idea who I was talking about. It gave me a good laugh.

Anybody else use random sports analogies that your coworkers don’t understand?

Finally – RK – happy birthday homie! Enjoy the last few years in your twenties. I hope the Broncos are able to find a way to get Deshaun here as a birthday present (although it’s looking like the Texans are going to consistently out-moran themselves and hang onto the man, sigh).

Fellas,

Your conversation about getting a first round running back is something I have to disagree with. A great running back is nice but I would rather spend a first round draft pick on a position where it’s harder to find impact players. Mase can probly correct me, but the last team to win the Super Bowl with an elite running back is Denver with TD. You can find a guy in the 3rd or 4th round that will be a good system fit and help the team win for 3 or 4 years and then you draft another guy to replace him. It’s not something that is fun to talk about, but NFL running backs have a short lifespan. I don’t blame Phillip Lindsay one bit for being upset about how he has been treated in Denver. He has 1 or 2 chances to make his money and then the league will push him out.

How say you?

When Mase is talking cutting Jackson to get Peterson, isn’t the smarter move to cut Von, keep the safety group strong, get more money, and the CB? Or you want the Von money for something else?

“THIS ONES FOR JOHN” “THIS ONES FOR PAT” two of the most iconic statements in Broncos history, soon to be #3 is “THIS ONES FOR BRITTANY” said by Deshaun Watson after winning the Broncos a Super Bowl in 2022, just weeks after Brittany Bowlen takes over as the owner of the Denver Broncos. Happy Tuesday and Happy Birthday to RK enjoy some Brecken brews and some Hassleback Steaks tonight! Hope everyone is staying positive and testing negative!

Howdy Gents,

Listening to you talk about about Von’s option not being as unlikely to be picked up. Do you think this sea would be an enticing pay cut?
1 year pay cut, (can resign based upon production) 16.5m base, 1 million incentive for starting at least 12 games, 500k for every five sacks. That deal should realistically save around 3-4 million for the season. What do you think?

Thanks for the pod as always

Hey guys idk what Kareem Jackson’s future is but IDC cuz I’m going richie grant NO MATTER WHAT LOL ….. SO 2 QUESTIONS ….

Why is Alaric Jackson projected so low I mean he was the guy at Lt before he got hurt and tristian words took over that year I’d love to get him in the 4th if he’s still there

Second is ….. Should we put the 2nd round tender on Phil should we extend or grab one of these rbs in the draft … Cause I watched the tape we can debate how Phil was used we can even say he wasn’t given enuff chances to catch the ball but Phil one thing that consistently shows up on film is ur terrible pass blocking it’s bad watching the Panthers game back Phil couldn’t even chip well at times sadly ?

Oops one last question is this the class better then last year’s cuz I’m loving this class a lot more then last year’s …

Thanks Guys !

I’ve talked about loyalty previously. The homegrown Broncos seem to get a cold shoulder and I’m happy to see Justin gaining steam in his career with the Broncos.

Who’s a Bronco that you’ve covered that always made you feel like family?

And its there a Bronco who you always wanted to walk past but couldn’t?

I asked that because Simmons seems to be as great off the field as in it.

My boys!
Hope you guys had a great Monday. As you guys know, of course, Dak signed a 4 year, $160 million contract ($126M guaranteed). Here’s a quick hypothetical for you. So say the Cowboys didn’t sign Dak and they moved on. The only deal he would accept is 4 years $160 million. We’re the Broncos, do we sign that contract? It is a ton of money for a maybe top seven or eight quarterback, but I think he can and will become top five. So I sign the deal if I’m the Broncos. But let me know what you guys think!
Much love
Sebastian
