My guys! Trying to get in on the Good, Bad, and Confusing game for the London pod trip.
GOOD: The vibes. Love the group trip pods. London might be a serious contender to Mobile.
BAD: Not really bad, but a 6am podcast threw me off lol. I’ve just gotten used to the schedule difference between VA and CO.
CONFUSING: I don’t think Hank is diggin’ on London haha
GO BRONCOS and GO DNVR!

Hey guys hope you’re loving London! To Raknown (probably butchered that) we would love to have your help at the Alzheimer’s Association, especially for our November 19th Fundraising Cornhole Tournament! I’m doing rain dances hoping to do some fun social event collabs with DNVR in the future! Anyways, I feel people’s perspectives of London vary per time of year you visit. I went to London in February of 2020, so the weather was rough and the breakfast at the hotel was cold and nasty. The beers are great and I pulled off a 1 hour bar crawl to 6 different pubs before they all closed. It was a lot of fun! Wishing y’all safe travels, hope the Broncos win FOR ONCE! But at least we have y’all to make me feel better, or validate my feelings after these last 7 games. Go DNVR and support Denver RivALZ!

Don’t bother reading on the pod …
Gents, you are crushing it in “Old Blighty”, and congrats on not being classic “ugly Americans” (of course knew you wouldn’t be). As someone who was fortunate to live in London for 10 years, and going there regularly for 30 years, here are some suggestions:
1. Full English – please don’t go to a nice restaurant for this. Hit a local greasy spoon, there is one in every neighbourhood. They have the best breakfasts and their full English will be sans black pudding/blood sausage. Their coffees are great too (although no cold brew). Grab a copy of the trashy but fun paper The Sun to read while you eat. As an alternative to a full English, or if you are in a hurry, just get a “bacon butty” which is bacon on a roll (a “bap”) with butter and “brown sauce” (HP) for “take away” (they don’t say “to go”).
2. Indian Food – Dishoon is great but it specialises in mild Mumbai style food. The place to go is Brick Lane but it’s east London and inconvenient. Just hit your local curry house. Ask the guys at your local pub where to go, they will all be curry experts. The classic London curry dishes are a balti (not hot), chicken tikka masala (UK invented curry) and for heat try a vindaloo or a faal (if you dare).
3. Kebab/Late Night – every city has its late night food specialty. In NYC its a slice, in Denver it’s probably a burrito (?), in London it’s a kebab. That’s chicken or lamb shawarma in a pita with chopped lettuce, onion and hot sauce … with chips if you are really hungry. It’s messy so watch out. And for Hank, pubs close early (11 or 12 depending) with few exceptions and alcohol isn’t sold late because they have a bad history with alcoholism (think Dickens and gin). Clubs like Chinawhite and Boujis are open late (probably dating myself there), casinos are open late, but pubs and restaurants generally can’t serve after 11 or 12 most nights.
4. Football – I know you have your bus tour Saturday but there is a great premier league match Saturday evening in London. Fulham v Everton and it’s at 5:30pm at Fulham in west London. The FFC stadium (Craven Cottage) is a charming smaller ground so there isn’t a bad seat anywhere. And Shad Khan owns the team! It’s worth going. You can always get tics for FFC games but they are probably around £200/ at this point. It would really be a shame if you guys didn’t get to an EPL game especially as you are the ultimate sports enthusiasts. At the very least be in a good pub Saturday night for the two late games … Fulham v Everton at 5:30 then Liverpool v Leeds at 7:45.
Enjoy and keep up the good work!

Hey guys!
I know I’m a few days late but as soon as I heard that I’m all clear to come to the tailgate at 20 years old, you can bet the first thing I did was buy tickets! I’m still a bit sad that I can’t drink and I’ll have to watch this inept Broncos offence sober. But I know the DNVR vibes will more than make up for it! Can’t wait to see you guys there!
A bit of a silly question from me. But can you guys confirm or dispel a common myth we have in Australia that English beers are warm? It’s a common joke we throw around in Australia but I’ve never known if it’s true or whether we just made it up to make fun of our pommy (British) friends.
Cheers guys!

What a lovely surprise waking up to a pod!
I love the enthusiasm, and I hope the sleep deprived delirium that is making the London pods so entertaining will affect the early riser Broncos fans.
When we win, it will be obvious that is due to Russ’ on-plane work out.
Here’s to hoping Coach Hackett has his Ted Lasso moment, and that the boys in orange (or blue and white, I guess) pull one out.
I think that we’re going to see a different team in front of fans who are laying off the boos! (see what I did there?)
Cheers,
A.L.

Cullin' for Mullens
I missed the cut-off last time because of the early pod, but I feel that I must share that the previous pod was the most crude, immature, grotesque and boyish that I’ve heard….
…..and it was FAN-TAS-TIC! Keep it up.
In addition to the three analogies, one sound effect, three songs sung and back-to-back poor attempts at an English accent, here are my top quotes:
“Are there such things as assful chaps?”
“We’ve gotta talk about this big time Chubb”
“Two 3s doesn’t move Chubb”
“We’re in too far” — “Not if it’s small”
“No I was washing my hands, my pants were up!”
“Oh! little bubbles for kids!”
“I got the Santa laugh!”
“How many roads do you think you’ve crossed in your life?”
“Shame on you, outlet.”
“New York’s on a rock”
“I just thought that was a really great geographical point”
“Maybe every one of us is a boat piece”
“That Butt name’s stickin’ ” — “…hopefully not together”
