My boys. The Broncos are terrible, and that’s all there is to say about this team. So I want to follow up with Hank about his turkey take. What about variations of turkey on Thanksgiving? Turkey burgers? Turkey bacon? Sliced turkey? Does it still count towards the required turkey on Thanksgiving?
The US men’s team is playing in the World Cup Tuesday in a win-or-go-home game against Iran, and I know RK came back from London with an affinity for soccer chants. Can we close out the pod with a good old fashioned US soccer chant?

I thought we hit rock bottom when I watched the Raiders game. Nope. Then I thought we hit it when I watched the Panthers game. Nope.
No rock bottom is seeing Hackett and Wilson give their reaction to the game. That’s rock bottom. Knowing that not only is the football this bad but that we are stuck with at least half of this dynamic duo for years.
If Russ is really still dealing with the torn lat and bad hamstring, then just sit him. We’re not competitive and I don’t see what favours we’re doing him by having him play hurt, behind a bad o-line, in a scheme he clearly isn’t comfortable with. We can’t afford to have any of that drag into next season.
It’s also time for Russ to make peace with the fact that he’s not a traditional pocket passer like Rogers, Brady, etc. and accept playing in an offense that doesn’t ask him to be something he’s not. I hope the next coach comes in and gets rid of Russ’s second floor office and holds him accountable to EARNING back his status as a leader in the locker room. I don’t think Russ has the self awareness to do so on his own accord, but he really needs to adjust the way he engages with his teammates. He fumbled that opportunity in Seattle, and frankly, if things are going to work out in Denver I think he’s going to need to correct that. It’s sad to have to say this, but Russ needs football rehab and not just for the on-field struggles.

As much as I love coach Evero, I hope he doesn’t become the interim head coach. Hiring interims as head coaches almost never works out and if you make him the interim he’s not going to come back as the defensive coordinator again next year. I’d rather anybody else be an interim so we can have a chance at keeping coach Evero as our DC next year.

With all due respect.
Can you guys do a podcast without seeing if someone will be fired or not? That’s all I’ve heard the past few weeks.
Can we get get better coverage of the actual game please? I will stop there.

Guys… This is statistically the worst offense since the 2000 Browns. Are you freaking kidding me???
Forget Nathaniel Hackett, Russell Wilson should be fired to the center of the sun. As far as I am concerned this is the dude everyone should be mad at. In no way shape or form should an offense led by Wilson be this bad.
You can’t cut him but he is not above being QB2 if this continues midway through next season

Hi boys,
Thanks for the great coverage as always. Gotta vent for a second.
This loss is on all three facets and EVERYONE on the team. The team that trotted out there had no motivation, no energy, and no respect for any of their coaches. The body language from everyone was very clear; this team sucks, they know it, and they don’t care enough to reverse it. I have all the respect in the world for the players as humans but the on the field product is pathetic. This is the first game I’ve ever legitimately thought about turning off.
You guys are right, we have to rebuild. The injuries to this team are numerous and this is why I’m not on the fire George Paton train yet. You can expect Randy Gregory to get injured but not Javonte, Patrick, Bolles, Cush, JJ, and KJ all at once.
Not sure there’s any reason to watch this team other than my love for the state of Colorado and everything related to it. (that includes you guys)
I’ll never forget where I was when apathy set in for me on this team: November 27, 2022, Section 516, Row 21, Seat 9, Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC.
My vibes were so high going into the Panthers game. Being on the East coast, I don’t get to see the Broncos in person often. I’ve only attended 4 games in my life (now 5). Sadly, I’ve also only seen them win once: September 22, 1991, at home against the San Diego Chargers. Then came back-to-back losses to Washington at FedEx in 2009 and Christmas Eve of 2017. Finally last year at Pittsburg. This was supposed to be the comeback, but, alas, I might just be bad luck.
Now a special for Numbees… The winning score in all the games I’ve been to, leading up to yesterday, has been 27 points! 27-19, 17-27, 11-27, and 19-27 respectively. A step in the right direction with 23 I suppose. At least we won the coin flip, Latavius Murray broke for a gainer, and I got to meet up with VA Beach Bronco.
All the love to DNVR and GO BRONCOS!!!

Great job reminding us of the Russell Wilson impossible cap situation. Couldn’t we add a cost-controlled QB to the room though? That way we can at least try benching Wilson if this continues. A rookie or maybe find our own Geno Smith type. Rookie is not a good idea because we need O-linemen. Possible reclamation projects include: Mayfield, Darnold, Zach Wilson, Jordan Huntley, Jordan Love, or Mitch Tribiscuit.
Hackett doesn’t have many job responsibilities left so I am not against firing him. That wont necessarily fix Wilson though. Maybe we can hire Darrell Bevell in some capacity next year. He is the pass game coordinator for Miami now. He worked with Russ during his most productive years. Maybe give him the OC job.
Thanks for the good cheer in down times fellas! It is always darkest before the dawn. 2023 will be the year of the Bronco. Go USA! Beat Iran! Death to the Dictator!

My Peoples!
We just need to sign 10 UDFA QBs and draft nothing but Oline lmao.
Maybe we get lucky and get a UDFA that can come in and b as bad as Russ but he will be an underdog so he will be loveable right?
Please send help.

What hurts more, the contract given to Russell Wilson or the draft capital lost to get him?

Well boys, I finally reached the point of questioning why I am watching the game. I have never been here before as a Broncos fan, but know where it can lead as I am also a Cincinnati Reds “fan”, so I understand how Rockies fans feel. The biggest question I think there is, can a new coaching staff get Russ back to a Pro Bowl caliber QB? And is that possible with this receiver group?
Tacoma Sam
Okay here is my crazy idea: Have Mr. Walton send a blank check over to Tony Dungy over at NBC. Tell him whatever he needs to come fix Russ. When he is inevitably uninterested, do the same strategy for Peyton Manning. Make the two of them a package deal and I think it gets sweet enough for them to take it seriously. If those two can’t fix Russ then the next 3-4 years are truly lost. By the way, Dungy is a devout Christian and it the pairing of him and Wilson makes so much sense. Seems like the kind of move to get free agents to want to come to Denver and play for a legendary coach. Makes more sense than Sean Payton in my opinion.
Tacoma Sam
To clarify, Peyton would serve as an OC, QB Coach, special advisor, whatever as long as you pair Dungy and Manning in some constructive way around Russ.
JerseyBronco
I sat in the pouring rain watching Mike F****ING White (legal middle name) ball out against the best Broncos quarterback since PFM. Everytime they showed an update of the Broncos game in Metlife, it was more miserable than sitting in that cold rain.
My wife blames Zac. Everytime she overheard me listening it always seemed to be when Zac would say, “The Jets are BAD.” I think it is time we all open our eyes. The Broncos are BAD. Our foreseeable future is damage control until we can get out of the terrible Russ contract. On the bright side, we will probably have the first overall pick when we can move on from Russ. We are giving Seattle a top three pick now, and this team will only get worse off-loading the talent we do have to rebuild.
There were two things I wanted after the game yesterday: a dry pair of pants and to listen to the boys breakdown the train wreck. Cheers to the only thing that makes the Broncos this year worth a single thought: DNVR. Love you all. Much love from Jersey.

June 1, eat it. Fire everyone and eat RW 100+Million. We haven’t begun to see the rock bottom this could bring years from now.
