Another year at camp, which means it’s time for the power trio to enlist the new crew of the Lifeboat Boys and the Bubble Bubble Guys.
Who you got? Let’s hear them!

I’m a little behind on pods, but I’ve been a little blown away by how often you guys discuss Teddy as the “no upside, no future with him” option as opposed to someone who could still grow and get better. The guy isn’t like Fitzpatrick, he’s 28 and he hasn’t even played the equivalent of 4 seasons. It seems like something about Teddy makes some people look at him different than other QBs. Tannehill was 28 and had over 4 seasons in Miami before going to the Titans and of course there’s countless examples of QBs improving and growing towards their ceiling (or raising their ceiling) at age 28 even if it’s not as pronounced as Tannehill. It’s not like Teddy’s development is magically stopped at this point, he might be the lower upside option compared to Drew or have very little upside, but it just seems inaccurate to treat him like he has no upside not to mention if all we get is Teddy’s current ceiling (look at what he did with the Saints, 2 TDs a game winning every game basically) that can be great for years while we draft or develop or acquire “the guy”
Anyway this isn’t a “I want Teddy to be the starter” comment, more a “I’m perplexed at why and how Teddy is described as having no upside”
Great coverage throughout camp so far!!!

hey guys!
so to follow on from yesterday- chief keef gets ‘sosa’ primarily from the character in scarface but he’s also made references to sammy, so it’s both
while we’re on the subject of sosa, do y’all think that dre’mont’s rookie year is a reasonable barometer for agim or should we set our sights higher?
for reference, dre’mont had 3.5 sacks, 3 TFLs, 6 QB hits and two passes defended (including 1 pick) in 14 games played in 2019

Hi guys,
Yesterdays comment of the day…..
Zac “whats the race called when they jump hurdles”?
RK “hurdles ”
I had a good laugh!

How do you best go about evaluating Lock or Teddy when they’re struggling in practice against the #1s, since that is potentially the best unit in the whole league? Obviously most or all teams we play will have worse defenses than what they see in practice, so how do you use that in your evaluation?

For Mase:
With everyone, myself included, drinking the absolutely delicious kool-aid, it seems that everyone is increasing their prospective win total for the season. What do you think the wins cutoff is for the Vic to stay on as head coach?
PS. Kool-aid? You want me to drink you? Right now? But it’s the middle of the workday.

I see a lot of people on Twitter making fun of the need to practice throwing the ball out of bounds. Thoughts?

The big winner in this QB competition will be George Paton. If QB1 busts, Paton can clean house and get his guys in here. If QB1 hits, he looks like a genius for being “patient”. Win-win for ole Georgie.

Hey guys great coverage so far in camp I am loving this content! I have tickets to broncos vs. Vikings. Are any of you going to be in the cities covering practice/the game??? Also I like your comment on reps at QB, when they do a combined practice and play in a live game drew and teddy should probably play most of the game and give the last 5/10 minutes to Brett. What are your thoughts on how long Brett should play in a game.
Cheers,
Logan
To begin, I would like to point out that I’m biased and want Drew to win this competition. However, is it just me or does it feel like Teddy is getting WAY more reps at practice? Maybe it’s only the ones you’re tweeting, but I feel like there are 4 Teddy tweets for every 1 Drew tweet. Am I wrong? If so, please let me know. Thanks guys!

What are the chances we cancel our join practice with the Vikings next week? I’m torn. Obviously going against other guys is hugely valuable, but the Vikings are the least vaccinated team in the NFL. Does the risk of losing key players and potentially an outbreak outweigh the benefit? I honestly don’t know.
Also, Teddy got all the reps today. I’m assuming it will flip tomorrow. nothing too crazy. But what is crazy is that Rypien is getting so many reps. The only explanation i can think of is that they are considering trading whoever doesn’t win the competition. Any other theories?
